Mian Zahid Aslam, President, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) has expressed grave concern on increase in the electricity load-shedding hours and longer shedding of gas to the industries in Faisalabad not only affecting the industrial production, reducing the earnings of the workers particularly the daily wagers in the area but also huge financial loss to the exporters for shipment not on time.

He continued that this is the ripe time for the textile industries of Faisalabad to make shipment of their export orders regarding Christmas and the New Year but increased load-shedding of electricity and gas has resulted into curtailment of industrial production thus difficult to meet the shipments schedule. He said that economy was already facing huge loss reducing the GDP growth to 3 percent per annum which was already the lowest in the region.
